Fireplace Curtain

Any fireplace that is to be used should have a barrier in front of the fire. There are all kinds of choices including folding screens, flat panels and even curtains. A fireplace curtain is usually crafted from fireproof metal mesh and hung from a rod. It prevents sparks from popping out of the fire onto your carpet or furniture, and guards children and pets against getting too close. Not only that, but it also adds elegance to any room. It's quite simple to choose a curtain for your fireplace, all you need to do is find a company that sells them and choose the correct size based upon your fireplace measurements.

Unlike folding screens and flat panels, curtains don't usually come in a wide range of styles as they are, as previously mentioned, crafted from metal in a mesh pattern. You may be able to find basic colors available with the most common being black. Other colors might include distressed bronze and brass. One of the biggest advantages of these curtains is how they save space. If you have a small hearth area you want to conserve as much space as possible. With a curtain, you don't waste any room because it hangs flat over your fireplace opening.

You can purchase curtains for your fireplace at some hardware stores and home improvement superstores that carry fireplace supplies. Examples of these stores would include Home Depot and Lowe's. Of course if you can't find what you're looking for in stores you can always shop online. It is easy and convenient to buy a fireplace enclosure on the Internet. There are lots of retailers that sell them and many who offer shipping discounts. When shopping online you can find what you need any time of the day or night and have it delivered to your door.

Although the fireplace curtain isn't as popular as the folding screen enclosure, it is definitely catching on with many homeowners. If you are someone who wants a covering for your fireplace that is attractive, protective and space-saving you cannot go wrong with with a curtain. Your second best choice would be a flat panel fireplace screen, which is also an effective space-saver when it comes to fireplace enclosures.
